Shipping Policies
Carrier
We ship all orders through USPS & UPS. If you would like us to use a different carrier please contact us at info@barkingdogroasters.com before placing your order.
Pricing
We offer flat rate shipping of $9.00 on orders of single 12oz bags of coffee and $15 on two or more 12oz bags. The Barking Dog Roasters offers free shipping on orders $75 and above.* When selecting this option Barking Dog Roasters reserves the right to choose carrier and speed of delivery. We cannot guarantee a shipping speed based when the free shipping option is selected, if you require a specific delivery date/time frame for your order, we recommend selection one of the other available shipping options.
*This offer excludes all Baratza Grinders.
Shipping Speed
Shipping generally takes 2-8 days (after USPS or UPS has received your package) in the United States. We are unable to guarantee shipping times, time estimates at checkout are provided by our processor. Please note that the free shipping or any ground shipping options may take up to 8 business days to reach you depending on your location. If you haven’t received your order 4 days of the estimated date given by its delivery carrier, please contact us at info@barkingdogroasters.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you. Refunds will not be given due to carrier-delayed packages.
(Larger orders may come in multiple packages, 5 lb bags of coffee may be split into separate bags for ease of shipping.)
Handling
While we wait for the last permit, we need to fire up the trusty old Probat L12 we have partnered with the CoRo (a cooperative Roasting Facility) in Berkeley, CA. As this is a temporary fix to our situation, we do not have a set roasting date and time each week. (We do know however that it will be towards the beginning of each week.) As such I am unable to guarantee a shipping date each week but rest assured your coffee will still be shipped out fresh each week. Due to the uncertain nature of our allotted roasting time any order placed after 11:59 am Sunday are not guaranteed to ship that coming week. We will still do our best to get it out to you that week.
We roast every Monday night (excluding holidays), any order placed after Monday 11 am PST will be processed and shipped the following week. All packages are dropped off at their respective carrier on the same night as roasting or first thing the following morning. Thank you for your patience. If you would like to receive your order faster than our standard shipping speed please contact us and we can check what roasts we have in stock.
Returns
All unused none perishable items (such as coffee and tea) and custom items are returnable within 30 days. Return shipping at the cost to the customer. Refunds will include cost of item being returned minus any shipping costs incurred by the BDR.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at info@barkingdogroasters.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods and custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
